"The school has a good ethos in which all pupils feel safe, valued and included. The good pastoral care develops pupils' confidence and self-esteem and contributes effectively to their good personal development and well-being. They come to school happy and ready to learn." OFSTED 2008

We believe we can only do our very best, when we all work together in genuine partnership with you and the wider community.

We aim to give your child every opportunity to achieve the highest possible standards in everything they do. Particularly, we believe that children need to leave school with skills in reading, writing and maths that will equip them well for the next stage in their education. The success of our work here depends very much on a positive partnership between home and school.

We do ask you to sign a home/school agreement with your child when you start with us at Ronald Ross Primary School, this will be given to your child to bring home soon after they start. Your child will also bring home a homework wallet for their work. They will have a reading bag and be expected to bring their reading book home every night. It is always helpful if you spend even a small amount of time with your child when they are reading or doing other work at home.
